St Brigid update

Dear Friends,

Please be advised that the hearing originally scheduled at the California Office of the Historic Preservation (CA-OHP) in Sacramento, has been postponed from October 27 to their next quarterly meeting on or around February 2, 2007. This is due to a continuance, requested by the Academy of Art University, of their petition for removal of St. Brigid from the National Registry.

All support letters and documents that have been sent to the CA-OHP are being retained for future review. Please continue to send support letters to the state office for the February hearing, as follows: California Office of Historic Preservation, attn: Milford Wayne Donaldson, State Historic Preservation Officer, P.O. Box 942896, Sacramento, CA 94296-0001

On Tuesday, October 17, 2006, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to make St. Brigid Church San Francisco City Landmark #252. This ordinance is awaiting signature by Mayor Gavin Newsom.

Sincerely,
